You all know the drill at stage starts... helmets and belts on... get your time... ready your notes... calm the driver... All fairly straightforward stuff. But when the driver is a female it is all a little different. Helmet on, belts on, check lipstick, pull out choke to hang the handbag on... then with ten seconds to go they adjust the mirror to check makeup... And if another female competitor has the same nomex racesuit then you could have a very serious problem to deal with...! So very different...! Sitting with Kim as opposed to sitting with Mick is certainly different... Mick and Stuart may have the speed... But Kim has the looks..! |
After wandering round for far too long in a suit that was big enough to get lost in, the all new Mick Jones Timber suit finally made it's first appearance on the recent Plains Rally. Supplied by Jays Racewear |

Mick has had an outing in the newly aquired Escort earlier this year when he took the editor of Motoring News down to Sweet Lamb. In typical Team Chaos fashion they had a fairly eventful day. No intercom for the first few stages. That was rectified only to have the exhaust break so they still couldn't hear each other. Mick went on to finish 5th overall and win the class. The Escort has now been repainted in the traditional Team Chaos livery that we used to use on the old car back in 1990 |
